How can I plug my iphone into the computer without it backing up every time?

The reason I ask is because I need to upload the 2.2 software/update. And my iphone takes forever to back up.How can I plug my iphone into the computer without it backing up every time?When you plug your iPhone into iTunes there should be two options in the General Tab saying YES or NO to backing up your iPhone each time you connect it to your computer - click the "no I don't want to" option ( they should be pretty obvious unless you can't see or can't read.)

How can I plug my iphone into the computer without it backing up every time?just check the sync manually tab on your itunes preferences|||At first go when you plug in your iphone I am guessing that itunes would detect the same and start backing it up.



What you need to do is on the page where itunes display that Iphone is connected you would see three options



1. Automatically Sync when this phone is connected

2. Sync only checked songs and video

3. Manually manage music and video



Just uncheck the option of Automatically sync when this phone is connected, this way you would be able to only manually back up or sync your phone.
