How do i syncronise my iphone with my email?

I have an email account at home which i use Microsoft Outlook 2003. I have just bought the new iphone and want to be able set my iphone up so any email i receive at home, i can pick up on my iphone.

Anyone know how i do it?How do i syncronise my iphone with my email?it depends on your email provider. it has to provide Exchange, POP3, or IMAP support. I know that hotmail doesnt support this, but gmail does.

go to your email settings on your iphone and enter your details, iphone should automatically set up your account, if it doesnt that means your provider doesnt have the POP3 service. Most of the free email providers do not offer this service. How do i syncronise my iphone with my email?Go to www.apple.com/support and search for "iPhone mail setup assistant" This will give you the server settings for your mail provider and instructions on how to set it up. Each mail provider has its own servers for incoming and outgoing mail and uses a specific port number. If the mail setup assistant doesn't have information for your email provider, you will have to call the provider or search their website to find the servers, port numbers and whether SSL should be turned on or off for both incoming and outgoing mail since these are almost always different. If during the setup process the iphone says it was unable to verify with SSL would you like to turn it off say yes and you may have to answer that same question up to 6 times. If you use a sbcglobal.net or a flash.net email address instead of selecting other, set the account up as a yahoo mail account to get the best results.

If none of these steps help, call 1800myiphone and they can walk you through the process.
