Im only asking this because my friend got an ipod touch and now he has an application for it that lats you use it as a phone(call/texting). and im pretty sure you can put music on your iphone. So, now whats the difference for buying one of them and not the other? can name applications they have and service they get.Whats the difference between the Iphone and the Ipod touch?well you can't use an application to turn an ipod touch into an iphone because it does not have the ability to call..... and you can add most applications to both of them the only difference is that with an iphone you can use the web all the time do to 3g and with the ipod touch you can only go on it near a wifi connection......... so its all up to you if you want a phone or an mp3 player.
and for the price its $229 for the touch every store with 8g
199$ for the iphone 8g with a 2 year contractWhats the difference between the Iphone and the Ipod touch?Your friend can use his 3G iTouch as a 'phone' provided that he has a wi-fi connection and a special lead with a microphone. Most applications will work on both. The significant difference is that the iPhone works as a phone! i.e. You put a sim card in it and you can use it wherever there is network coverage. Oh, and the iPhone has GPS.
